My favorite girls (or should I say ladies) from my favorite show are back! The Sex and the City foursome have re-united for a movie, which I’m sure you’ve all heard about. But have any of you seen the trailer?? Gotta say, I’m not too fond of the “Get Carried Away” marketing scheme there but I cannot wait to see where their storylines are headed… PLUS all those gorgeous clothes and shoes, it’s enough to get a fashionista all riled up!
And if all that weren’t enough, they cast Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson as Carrie’s assistant, so that should be interesting. Mmhmmm!

So it’s about time people got recognized for their talent! A close friend of mine, Farah Alizade, is a gifted and talented artist with a passion for music, photography, art and life itself. Her art represents a piece of her mind and that’s why I find her pieces so moving.
No, it doesn’t have anything to do with shoes. This obsession comes in the form of a twenty-one year old singer called Kate Voegele. For those of you who watch One Tree Hill, this singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist may come as no surprise to you, as she has been playing the role of talented singer-songwriter “Mia” for the past few episodes of Season 5. Well, after falling in love with her voice and music on the show, I just had to download her album to satiate my musical craving. The album is sensational and here is one of my favorite songs from it:
According to EW.com, the dates have been announced for when most of our favorite TV shows will be back on air, following the writer’s guild strike that finally ended last week. For most shows, there is still quite a bit of waiting but here’s a run-down of my fave shows and when they are coming back:

Ladies (and gents), brace yourselves! The new Dolce & Gabbana “The One” fragrance ad came out and none other than Matthew McConaughey was chosen as the star!
For those of you who are trying to get in shape for the fast-approaching beach season or simply trying to live a healthy existence, here is an article I found on MSNBC that I thought would be of interest to you all:
“7 foods you may think are healthy, but aren’t
Pick a fruit, any fruit, and you know it’s good for you. It’s the same with vegetables and many whole grain foods. They deserve their nutritional halos.
Some foods, however, have gotten the healthy nod, when they’re actually laden with fat, sugar or both.
Some of you may be scratching your heads, wondering, “you mean, frozen yogurt isn’t good for me?”
Well, no. That’s why you should always read the label. To save you some time, here are seven items that you may think are good snacks, but might be better left on the store shelf…..”
These are the songs I’m listening to right now! And they are all neeeeew n fresh!
Augustana - “Sweet and Low” - one of my favorite bands (the same band that brought you the wonderfully mesmerizing “Boston”) are back with a brand new single. I’m sensing a new album coming out shortly, this is probably the pre-release single for that. Can’t wait to hear more!!!
Avenged Sevenfold - “Crossroads” - for those of you who like their sound, you’ll enjoy this new track by them!
Jonas Brothers - “When you look me in the eyes” - The cute brotherly trio are the latest “It” band out there and their sound is very cute, bubbly and feel-good (in some ways, a modern Hanson if you will). If you liked their previous songs, like “S.O.S”, you’ll surely enjoy this one too.
Daughtry - “Feels like tonight” - Hit after hit, Chris Daughtry really proves to be the golden child of American Idol. This song is great, and in the same style of their preceding songs.
Montana Tucker - “Ain’t no stressin’” - if you’re more into the hip-hop/dance sound, then you’ll definitely enjoy this sure-to-be-club-hit, fresh off the Step Up 2 soundtrack. Very catchy (reminds me of Yeah! by Usher) n if you’re into Ciara’s dance music, you’ll definitely love this too.
Flo Ridaft. Timbalad - “Elevator” - anything Timbaland touches turns to gold and I’m sure this song will be no different. Hot on the heels of the widely successful “Low”, Flo Rida’s new song has the same hip-hop flavaaa mixed in with Timbaland’s genius beats.
Step Up 2 “The Streets” Soundtrack Album - so instead of listing every song from this album, it’s better I just praise the entire album. The album is amazing and packed with crazy dance tunes, a little hip-hop here, a little bit of jazz there. Songs to watch out for are “Push” by Enrique Iglesias ft. Lil Wayne, “369″ by Cupid, “Impossible” by Bayje, “Is it you” by Cassie, “Say Cheese” by KC. So basically that’s almost every song on there, but that’s coz it really is THAT good…mmhmmmmm!
Ciara ft. J-Hood - “Ahhh” - Kudos to my brother for introducing me to this song. I’ve been hooked on it for a couple of weeks now. Damn, its hot!!! :D. Classic Ciara, what more can I say really?
Panic at the Disco - “Nine in the Afternoon” - Had to finish off the list with one of my favorites! New single = New album!!! Check this single out for a taste of what’s to come in their new album “Pretty.Odd” which is set to be released on March 25th. Waiting impatiently!!!!
Hopefully these tunes will have u jammin’ or dancin’ all weekend. Have a great one people!
The Fall 2008 Ready-to-wear collection from Missoni was presented in Milan just yesterday and after looking at all the runway photos I have to say that the collection is absolutely breath-taking. It was a more subtle and sophisticated take on their usually vivid color palette, with more grown-up pieces like pencil skirts and column dresses. But don’t mistake their subtlety for dullness because every piece had a touch of that Missoni glamour and class, with a little razzle-dazzle thrown into the mix. My absolute favorite pieces from the collection were:
I’ve been a fan of Mandy Moore’s over the years (minus her “Candy” days) so I was excited about hearing her latest album, Wild Hope. After years in the industry, I think she now has an album that can gain her the kind of recognition and respect that she deserves. A more grown-up Mandy Moore can definitely be felt in her song “Gardenia”.
