My fave presidential candidate, Barack Obama, gave THIS speech in Terre Haute a couple of days ago. He just gets better and better…one of the best public speakers ever!

The UK’s Telegraph newspaper has come up with a list of the 110 best books to have for the perfect library, and to make it even easier to browse through they have broken down the list according to different categories, from classics to poetry to literature.

Sooo if you are a book afficianado or if you are simply new to the game, this list is for you. As an avid book reader myself, I can say that this list makes some great recommendations, like Jane Eyre and One Hundred Years of Solitude. Check it out the complete list here.

According to ArabianBusiness.com, English football superstar David Beckham has given his $16 million villa on Dubai’s Palm Island to his in-laws, Victoria’s parents. Apparently, the couple have been spending so much time between their two homes in London and Los Angeles that they felt it would be difficult to fit living in Dubai into their schedule as well.

Hot on the heels of an Oprah show frenzy, it looks like “The Pregnant Man”, Thomas Beatie, is being approached by several networks to do a TV movie on his unique experience as the world’s first and only pregnant man.

34-year-old Thomas Beatie was born a girl but decided to change his gender about ten years ago by taking testosterone and undergoing surgery to remove his breasts. Beatie, now married to a woman, was artificially inseminated and is now pregnant with a “healthy” baby.

Do U think men should be allowed to get pregnant?

According to TimesOnline, “The internet could soon be made obsolete. The scientists who pioneered it have now built a lightning-fast replacement capable of downloading entire feature films within seconds.

At speeds about 10,000 times faster than a typical broadband connection, “the grid” will be able to send the entire Rolling Stones back catalogue from Britain to Japan in less than two seconds. ”

Sound too good to be true? Catching more TV shows wouldn’t hurt I’d say

Beyonce and Jay-Z got married yesterday in New York City, after six years of dating.

The pair chose 4/4/08 because Beyonce’s birthday is September 4th and Jay-Z’s is on December 4th so they combined it so they could get a 4/4 wedding date!

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Blogging in the region has been mind-boggling lately; having discovered lots of great blogs and networked with other like-minded individuals was quite intriguing.
